Improve Eye Coordination, Focus & Visual Skills

What is Vision Therapy? Vision therapy is a personalized program of exercises that train visual skills and improve eye–brain coordination for both children and adults.

We do more than just check whether someone needs glasses—we also evaluate how the eyes work together and communicate with the brain to support learning, development, comfort, and performance.

Through customized eye exercises and activities, vision therapy strengthens visual skills like eye tracking, eye focusing, and eye coordination.

How Does Vision Therapy Work?

STEP 1: Schedule a Vision Therapy Consultation (45 min - No Commitment)

Dr. Mistry evaluates all of your visual skills including eye teaming, focusing, tracking, and visual processing. She determines how many sessions are needed based on your specific findings and symptoms as well as discusses cost and scheduling.

STEP 2: Customized Program

A customized, vision therapy program is designed for you that consists of weekly, in‑office 45-minute sessions with at‑home reinforcement. The sessions are one-on-one with Dr. Mistry where she teaches you how to perform all exercises done in office and for homework. All equipment and homework materials are included with the program.

STEP 3: Progress Tracking

Dr. Mistry performs regular progress evaluations and provides you with a report, so improvement can be monitored until you graduate from the program. All progress evaluations are included with the program.

  • No. Vision therapy is a customized, doctor-prescribed treatment program designed to address your specific symptoms. Each activity is carefully tailored to your diagnosis to ensure the therapy is effective with long lasting results.

  • Every program is individualized. Many patients with conditions such as convergence insufficiency or accommodative dysfunction complete therapy within 12-16 sessions. More complex cases may require longer treatment. After your vision therapy consultation, Dr. Mistry will determine an estimated number of sessions based on your results and findings.

  • While many insurance plans do not cover vision therapy, some do provide benefits. Our team will be happy to verify your coverage and let you know if vision therapy is included under your plan. We also offer package discounts or flexible options for families with financial need. Please call our office today to find out more.
